Entering Lead Accounts - A lead account is typically considered an unclaimed account that still needs to be approved by a manager before being considered a Prospect.
Step 1 - All new accounts are created via the global +Add button in the upper-right hand corner of your screen
Step 2 - Then you will see a new pop up window showing you the type of account that you entering (In this case a Lead account) -Once you are prompted, you can enter the Account Name and additional profile information such as Address, Phone Number, Category, and Social Media details.
Step 3 - Utilizing leads will allow you to go through an approval process for claiming new accounts directly through Matrix. You are required to enter the following information into the new account:
- The Address
- A Contact
- An Activity
Step 4 - Once those details are entered you can submit the lead for approval to your manager by selecting their name from the drop-down in the top left of the account's profile page, and click Submit.
Step 5 - Your manager will receive a notification to either approve or reject this Lead account submission . Once the Lead account is approved, you will see this account listed as a "Prospect" account
Note: You will not be able to enter deals in Lead accounts . You can only enter deals in Prospect accounts
