How to Clear Your Browser's Cache and Cookies

Many browser related problems can be fixed by clearing your cache and/or cookies, but it's important to know how each impacts your browser before you delete them.  Your web browser's "Cache" is a place where information is stored which helps webpages load faster. "Cookies" are small pieces of information stored on your computer which save web site customization. 

Please note that we recommend using Chrome or Firefox, but below are the instructions on how to clear multiple web browser's cache and cookies.

-Clear your cookies to fix - Sign-in problems (not being able to sign-in, not being able to stay signed-in) and error messages about setting user cookies. Keep in mind - Clearing your cookies will delete all web site information stored in your browser (passwords, sign-in information, site-specific preferences, etc). 
-Clear your cache to fix - Pages that hang, freeze, don't finish loading, or contain old content, and online applications (like games) that don't respond.  

Internet Explorer

1.Select Tools | Internet Options.

2.Under Browsing history, click Delete.

3.Select the following checkboxes:

- Temporary Internet files and web site files 
- Cookies and web site data 

4.Click Delete.

5.Click OK.

6.Close and restart your browser.

 Chrome

1.Select the Tools icon | Settings.

2.Click Settings.

3.Click Show advance settings.

4.Under Privacy, click Clear browsing data.

5.Select the following checkboxes:

- Empty the cache
- Delete cookies and other site and plug-in data

6.Click Clear browsing data.

7.Close and restart your browser. 


Firefox

1.Select the Tools icon | History

2.Click Clear Recent History.

3.In the Time range to clear drop-down menu, select Everything.

4.Next to Details, click the down arrow .

5.Select the following checkboxes:

- Cookies 
- Cache 
- Active Logins 

6.Click Clear Now.

7.Close and restart your browser.


Safari

1. Select the Safari/Edit icon (a gear icon)| Reset Safari.

2.Select the following checkboxes: 

- Clear history

- Remove all web site data 

3.Click Reset.

4.Close and restart your browser.
