Monarch - Receiving error when updating Sales Stage on Deal

If your corporate requires the Account and/or Agency address and Contact information on the Deal and one of these information is missing, you will receive any below error messages on the top of the Deal profile or Quick Deal Edit dialog when trying to update the Sales Stage.

There error messages will let you know which information are missing on the Deal. Per above screen shot, there are 3 missing information: 

1. The Account address(first error message).

2. The Agency address(second error message). 

3. The Contact (third error message).

Account and/or Agency address is missing

Please follow the below steps to fill out the information:

1. Click on the Account or Agency names on the error messages. Per below screen shot, New Business Advertiser(Account name) and ABC Hotel(Agency name) should be clicked. This will bring up the Account and Agency profiles.

2. On the Account or Agency profile, click a little pencil icon next to the Account or Agency profile.

3. On the Edit the Account/Agency dialog, please make sure the below fields are filled out and then click Save button.

  • Country
  • Address1
  • City
  • State
  • Zip

Contact information is missing

A Deal profile needs to have at least one Contact that has below information:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Title
  • Email
  • Primary Phone

Note that you may have multiple Contacts on the Deal profile, but the error message still showsbecause none of the Contacts have First Name, Last Name, Title, Email, and Primary Phone filled in.

There are two types of missing contact information error messages :

1. The error message with Contact Names. This means you have some Contacts on the Deal profile but some of their information are missing. You will need to fill out the missing information on one of the contacts to pass the validation. To fill out the missing information,

  • Click on one of the Contact names on the error message. This will bring up the Contact profile 

  • On the Contact profile, click a little pencil icon next to the Contact name. Then please make sure First Name, Last Name, Title, Email, and Primary Phone have been filled out. Please also check the radio button next to the one of the phone numbers that you have filled out to make it Primary Phone.  Then click Save button and navigate back to the Deal Profile.

2. Error message with NO Contact name. This means you have NO Contact on the Deal profile. 

To add a Contact into the Deal Profile, 

1. Navigate to Contacts Pod on the Deal profile which is located below the Revenue Comparison pod. Note: if you are on the Deal Quick Edit dialog, click on the View Full Profile button to bring up the Deal Profile.

2. Hover your mouse on the Contacts pod. Then you should see the plus sign(+) on the right top of the pod. Click on the plus sign(+). Then the Add Contacts to Deal dialog will show. 

3. On the Add Contacts to Deal dialog, 

  • If there are some Contacts shown on the Add Contacts to Deal dialog, please follow the below steps:

1. click on the checkbox next to the Contact name that you wish to add into the Deal profile and then click Add button.

2. Once the Contact is adding into the Contacts Pod, please check if First Name, Last Name, Title, Email, and Primary Phone have shown on the Pod. If one of these information is missing, click on the Contact name to bring up the Contact profile. For example, in the below screen shot, the Title, Phone number and Email are missing for the Contact.


3. On the Contact Profile, click a little pencil icon next to the Contact Name and then fill out the missing information. Please make sure that First Name, Last Name, Title, Email, and Primary Phone have been filled out and click Save button.

  • If there is NO contact shown on the Add Contacts to Deal dialog, you will need to add a Contact into Account and/or Agency that is associated to the Deal. Then add that Contact into the Deal profile. To do this, please follow the below steps:          1. Cilck (+) Add button on the right top of the page and select Contact.

2. Please fill out First Name, Last Name, Title, Company Name (Account or Agency that deal is associated to) Email, and Primary Phone. Please check the radio button next to the phone number that you have filled out to make it Primary Phone.  Don't forget to fill oThen click Save button. Once you click Save button, the Contact profile will show.

3. Click Back button on the right top of the screen to go back to the previous page which is Deal profile.

4. On the Deal profile, please navigate to the Contacts pod and hover your mouse on the Contacts pod on Deal profile. Then you should see the plus sign(+) on the right top of the pod. Click on the plus sign(+). Then the Add Contacts to Deal dialog will show. 

5. on the Add Contacts to Deal dialog, please click on the checkbox next to the Contact name that you wish to add into the Deal profile and then click Add button.

After you fill out the Account or Agency address and Contact information, you should be able to update the Sale Stage on the Deal profile without any error message.
